Ferrari announces record sales in 2008

Much has been made of the economic turmoil and the impact its had on the auto industry. Ferrari, however, is one car company that has managed to avoid the hit. The Italian automaker sold a total of 6,587 units in 2008. This represents a 2% increase over their total in 2007. The North American market is still the largest for Ferrari with 1,700 units being sold in that market alone. Elsewhere sales went up especially in Eastern Europe (23%), the Middle East (12%) and Africa (12%). The company’s total revenues totaled almost $2.5 billion dollars in 2008. This is a 15% increase in revenue from 2007 and a big reason for the jump are the sales of the 430 Scuderia, 612 Scaglietti and the 599 GTB Fiorano.

Unique Bugatti Veyron Vincero by Mansory

With so much money going around in Dubai, even a Bugatti Veyron seems passé these days. Having said that, it’s not at all surprising that you can find cars in Dubai that you’ve never heard about like this Mansory-prepped Veyron called Bugatti Vincero, which is up for sale by Prestige Cars. There’s no official information on the customized Veyron other than that, according to Prestige Cars, only three examples have been built.
