Posted by admin on Jun 14, 2009

Volkswagen Group tuning specialist ABT is turning up the wick on the diesel powered Audi Q7 V12 TDI. In standard form, the 6.0-liter V12 turbo diesel delivers an output of 500 HP and a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm or 738-lb/ft launching the Q7 from zero to 100 km/h (62mph) in 5.5 seconds and on to an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h or 155mph. After ABT’s intervention, the Q7’s V12 diesel cranks out 560HP and 1,200 Nm or 885-lbs/ft of torque for 0-100km/h sprint time of 5.3 seconds and a maximum speed of 258km/h or 160mph.

Revised Dodge Challenger SE V6 gets 5-Speed Auto and new Rallye Edition
Posted by admin on Mar 30, 2009

Stop the press; believe it or not, Dodge finally decided to bring the entry-level Challenger SE V6 into (some) terms with the 21st century by replacing the four(!)-speed manual automatic transmission with the same five-speed auto used in the V8 models. The updated Challenger SE with its 3.5-liter V6 was revealed along with a new SE Rallye edition at the Spring Festival of LXs in Irvine California this weekend.
Edmund’s Insideline that broke the story claims that while Chrysler did not announce performance figures, it did reveal that the 5-speed auto helps the SE deliver 25mpg on the highway. However, this could be a typo as that’s the exact fuel economy rating that the company gives for the current SE with the 4-speed auto.
As for the Challenger SE Rallye, it will be available from April with a base price of $26,490 including destination. The Rallye package adds dual hood and deck lid stripes, 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with black accents, a body colored boot-lid spoiler, a chrome fuel cap and “Micro Carbon”

IMSA Creates Carbon-Fiber Bodyit for new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4
Posted by admin on Feb 14, 2009

For some people, not even a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 is exotic enough for their taste. That’s where specialized tuners like IMSA come into the picture. The German tuning firm developed a new carbon-fiber bodykit for the facelifted Gallardo which consists of an aerodynamically optimized front apron, larger fenders for all four wheel arches, side skirts and a rear bumper with an integrated diffuser. As is the case with such tuning proposals, the aerokit can be enhanced with a new set of alloy wheels.
